We are always happy to hear from people who want to get involved with the Quipu Project and help us spread our testimonies as far and wide as possible. Wherever you are in the world there is something you can do to help!
1.) Leave a response message
If you haven’t already, make sure to leave a message for our contributors in Peru to let them know they’ve been heard, and their stories won’t be forgotten.
2.) Help translate the archive
If you speak Spanish and English, or even Quechua, then you can help us transcribe and translate our archive. Our growing community of volunteers are based around the world and have been carefully helping us create subtitles for each testimony as they come into our system. This work is really important, as it not only allows us to display the audios in our documentary, but will also assist students and researchers who want to use the archive in the future.
3.) Spread the word
The purpose of our project is to help these stories reach as many people as possible, and for that we rely on people like you! Tweets, facebook posts, blog articles or even just telling a friend will go a long way towards helping us reach our goal. Our team are always available to present the project where possible, and we are happy to discuss installing / screening Quipu at relevant events.
